1914 La Vigne Cyclecar
History
The JPL was designed by J.P. La Vigne who was an early and ubiquitous engineer in the industry. The car was marketed both as the JPL and La Vigne and in 1914 as a light car. The cyclecar was equipped with a four-cylinderair-cooled engine with a sliding-gear transmission. The vehicle was claimed to get 30–40mpg‑US (7.8–5.9L/100km; 36–48mpg‑imp), and have a top speed of 50mph (80km/h). Production ceased in 1914.[1]
