El BMW CS es un prototipo de automóvil del fabricante alemán BMW presentado en el año 2007. Es un sedán de cuatro puertas con aspecto de coupé que ofrece muchas nuevas características e innovaciones de BMW, como tiradores de las puertas que sólo salen cuando los sensores detectan movimiento. El motor de este prototipo probablemente sea un V8, V10 o V12. Se esperaba que pasara a producción para competir con el Mercedes-Benz Clase CLS, el Aston Martin Rapide y el Porsche Panamera, pero la crisis de finales de 2008 acabó con el proyecto.

Der Concept CS ist ein im Jahr 2007 veröffentlichtes Konzeptfahrzeug des Autoherstellers BMW. Es handelt sich dabei um einen sportlichen Viertürer, in den BMW eine Vielzahl an Innovationen einbrachte, wie zum Beispiel Türgriffe, die ausfahren, sobald sie Bewegung erkennen. Die Karosserie besteht aus Kunststoff, hat jedoch ein Aussehen wie Aluminium. Wie bei allen anderen BMW-Modellen ist ein Hofmeister-Knick zu sehen. Mitbeteiligt am Design des Fahrzeugs war Adrian van Hooydonk. Zum Antrieb hat BMW keine Angaben gemacht[1], spekuliert wurde jedoch über den Fünfliter-V10-Motor BMW S85 des BMW M5 (E60) mit 373 kW.[2]

The BMW CS Concept is a concept car was first displayed by the German car manufacturer BMW in 2007 at the Shanghai Auto Show.[4] BMW claimed that CS Concept could be produced, following positive initial comments in 2007 by BMW dealers. This was followed up in 2008 by an announcement by BMW that the concept would be put into production in the form of the BMW Gran Turismo.[5] BMW later cancelled plans for production in November 2008 because of financial reasons amidst a global economic crisis.[6][7]
