Disponibile unicamente con carrozzeria berlina 4 porte la Wolseley 16/60 si distingueva dal modello d'origine unicamente per il frontale ridisegnato (secondo i canoni Wolseley) e le finiture più curate. Non c'erano, rispetto alla Oxford Farina, modifiche tecniche (nemmeno potenziamenti al motore, che rimaneva il noto 1622cm³ da 61cv).
Commercialmente la 16/60, lanciata nel 1961 ad un prezzo di £ 993 si posizionava sopra la Oxford Farina (proposta, lo stesso anno, a £ 869), ma sotto alla Riley 4/72 (che costava £ 1.088).
In tutto sono stati costruiti 63.082 esemplari di Wolseley 16/60.

Der Wolseley 15/60 war der erste der von Pininfarina entworfenen Mittelklasse-PKW, den BMC herausbrachte. Er wurde im Dezember 1958 als Nachfolger des Wolseley 15/50 vorgestellt. Der 15/60 gehörte zur Modellfamilie BMC ADO9 und teilte seine Konstruktion mit den Modellen mehrerer anderer Marken. All diese Fahrzeuge wurden 1961 überarbeitet. The Wolseley 15/60 is an automobile which was produced from 1958 to 1961, and then, as the Wolseley 16/60, from 1961 to 1971. The 15/60 was the first of the mid-sized Pininfarina-styled automobiles manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). Launched in December 1958 as part of BMC's Wolseley brand, the design would eventually be shared with seven other marques.
