The Concept You is an executive car with a four-door fastback saloon styling, and is a further development of the Volvo Concept Universe, which was revealed earlier the same year.[2] The design builds upon Scandinavian Design.[3]
Volvo has interpreted this to design the car around the driver and passengers in the car, hence the name You. This includes, for example, that all buttons and knobs were removed and instead replaced by a touch screen to control the features of the car.
The exterior design was inspired by the classical models by Volvo, such as the PV544 and the Amazon.[4]
