The Citroën C-Airplay is a concept car which was designed and presented by Citroën in December 2005 at the Bologna Motor Show.[1][2] The car was also shown at the 2006 British International Motor Show in July 2006.[3][4]

Overview

The car is a three door four seater city car. The slightly rounded body shape is similar to that of the Fiat 500, which was released in July 2007.[5][6] One feature of the car is that the doors had tinted glass inserted in the lower half portion.[7] It was related to Citroën C-Buggy.[8]

Der C-Airplay war ein Konzeptfahrzeug, das Citroën 2005 auf der Bologna Motor Show der Öffentlichkeit präsentierte. Mit dem futuristischen Kleinstwagen wollte Citroën nach Pressemitteilung die Passagiere eng mit der Umwelt verbinden. Wohl deswegen sollten große Luftausströmer „Cabrio-Feeling“ und transparente Türpanele mehr Nähe“ zur Straße vermitteln. Im unteren Bereich der Seitentüren wurden zusätzliche Scheiben eingesetzt, während ein Panoramadach mit abnehmbarem Mittelteil im direkten Übergang zur großen Windschutzscheibe den Innenraum hell und luftig wirken lässt und zudem eine fast uneingeschränkte Rundumsicht bot.
